The task is not over. Having built a website, and owning a domain name brings us to the next main area of having the site active on the net. That brings us to having all the Domain Name records and Website properly placed onto a server to serve those pages. It is not over though. If you don't have someone monitoring the site you would know whether your site is up and running or just sitting locked away from the world.
